“ Visiting West to West it doesn't mean just eating good food, it means a complete and amazing experience! The ambience is very nice, calming, inviting. The music in the background giving it a lovely vibe, while still allowing conversation. Not to mention the gentleman working there was incredibly kind and helpful, when we asked for recommendations, he was happy to explain the dishes to us, chatted with us and just made sure the experience at West to West was even better. We were a party of 2, we ordered plantains (AMAZING), Trini Doubles (outstanding, comes with some out of this world sauce and chutneys that they make at West to West!), Caribbean Callaloo (fresh and tasty) and Awojoh Binch Wrap (nice). We spoke what we would recommend and to be honest, we would literally recommend all of the dishes we had, they were so good! The sauce was properly spicy sauce, so any of the mentioned dishes could be made as spicy as you want it. And if you've read any our other reviews, you'll know that one of us adores spicy and the other one barely tolerates mildly spicy food - and these dishes made both of us happy. We are definitely coming back! ”

“ West to West is located in Al Danah - Zone 1 - Abu Dhabi. West to West serves authentic Caribbean cuisine with a twist of different flavours and spices that tantalise the tastebuds. We ate at a tiny restaurant in the heart of the city where fresh dishes are made and served to perfection. We enjoyed eating the jerk chicken that came with tiny dishes of sauces and salads. We thoroughly enjoyed the delectable plantain, chickpeas, jerk chicken and wings, bread and rice mixed with brown beans. These dishes had flavours of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, ginger etc which gave a unique taste to the Caribbean food we ordered. The cherry on top is that the prices are so reasonable. We experienced many different food influences stemming from the indigenous population of the islands. A wonderful experience! ”

“ As a Sierra Leonean, I can vouch for the authenticity of the food. It is absolutely delicious! Tastes just like my parents cooking and reminds me of home! Yesterday I ordered the Sunday roast for delivery. I chose the roast lamb, jollof rice and all the trimmings I was going to give a 4 star review because despite me pre-ordering a day before (as requested by the restaurant), it unfortunately arrived 1 and a half hours late! But I could not deny the amazing taste and the generous portion size (which was enough to for 2 people) so this more than made up for the lateness! The roast lamb was seasoned incredibly well and again, the jollof rice resembled my parent's cooking. The roast veg, gravy and Yorkshire pudding were also on point! I'm very impressed West to West. I'll be ordering again ”

“ Having spent some time in the Caribbean, we are always on the hunt for a classic Stew Goat or Oxtail Stew but were never able to find the right taste in Abu Dhabi until West to West Kitchen opened up. Initially it was a pop-up in the Urban Retreat area where we met the owner and enjoyed his traditional Caribbean style food, and life was never the same in Abu Dhabi after. Our visits to get takeaway seem to just need a no reason actually given we lived so close to the Mall and when we learned they would be leaving the mall and going independent we couldn’t have been happier. Fast-forward to last week, we finally manage to go to the new West to West Kitchen location on Salaam Street and loved the look and feel of the little place, there is limited dine in and as usual their delivery system was working non stop. We were told they had just introduced a range of trini style roti options so we just had to try, went with the chicken and the shrimp option with some of the spicy sauce and loved it. The roti is stuffed full of chicken or shrimp with roasted veggies and is a full meal in itself, the taste s absolutely divine. We also got our usual, the Oxtail Stew, the Goat Curry along with their signature jerk sauce and were happy to confirm the taste is still spot on, the oxtail has a nice bit of heat to it and the flavour is intense. If you are a foodie who likes to try the cuisines form around the world, then a visit to West to West Kitchen for the finest West Indian food in Abu Dhabi is a must. The food is great, the service friendly and the pricing is perfect, they also have meal options worth trying as well. ”

“ Authentic Carribean food in all it’s sense! Delicious food - the wraps, jollof rice, gronnut chicken as they call it - we all fantastic! The jerk chicken wrap is full of surprises in every bite - rice in a wrap with a fusion of Arabic touch - just amazing! The west wrap with its sauce made it my most fav among the wraps for sure! Quite a cozy cute cafe with vibrancy speaking out from the walls, with info about the West African countries (- loved it), friendly and fantastic cheerful staff - we had a wonderful experience! ”

“ Even if your mom doesn't cook this kind of food, it will still feel like your mom cooked this food. It gives a tummy hug that is filled with love. It's a serotonin inducing food, especially the chicken jerk. If you want to eat food made with love, this is the spot. And I must add with very reasonable prices. I eat from there 4 times a week. It's healthy, delicious, and cozy food. If I would rename the kitchen, I'd add the slogan "West to West," bringing moms comfort food to your plate." ”
